Kementerian Keamanan Publik China sedang membentuk satuan keamanan baru yang berfokus pada aksi kriminal dengan melibatkan geng, seperti prostitusi, perjudian, produksi, dan penyelundupan obat bius.

"Tindak kriminal yang berkaitan dengan aktivitas geng telah menjadi ancaman baik bagi stabilitas sosial dan ekonomi," ujar seorang pejabat senior Kementerian Keamanan Publik China seperti dikutip oleh harian resmi China Daily. "Geng-geng ini diprediksi tetap aktif saat China mengalami perubahan ekonomi dan sosial secara dramatis," tambah pejabat yang tak ingin disebutkan identitasnya itu.

Aparat keamanan juga akan mengawasi kemungkinan timbulnya tindak kriminal akibat peningkatan jumlah pengangguran sebagai imbas dari krisis keuangan berkelanjutan. Liang Huaren, profesor Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Hukum China University, menerangkan, peningkatan jumlah pekerja migran yang mengalami pemutusan hubungan kerja telah menyumbang angka dalam peningkatan kasus kriminal yang melibatkan geng.

Sebanyak 337 kasus tersebut telah disidangkan pada 2007 atau mengalami kenaikan 161 persen dari tahun sebelumnya. Wang bahkan juga dipecat sebagai dosen. Dia juga mendapat banyak kecaman dari khalayak berkaitan kisah tragis perkawinannya serta kematian istrinya.

Permintaan Wang dipenuhi pengadilan. Wang mendapat ganti rugi. Namun, dia sudah telanjur kehilangan sang istri dan reputasinya sudah jatuh. Ini sebuah peringatan bagi mereka yang suka dengan blog di internet.(PPG)
