Somali President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed resign

Somali President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, on Monday (29/12), stated resign. It was selected after a fierce power in the transition government in Somalia.

"I have promised to give power back if I can not realize peace, stability, and democracy. Where people can choose their leaders," said Joseph in a special hearing in the parliament of Somalia on Monday (29/12).

Previously, Joseph was involved in the conflict with the parliament and one important party in the coalition that ruled. "I have a letter of resignation to the head of the parliament, which will become president, in accordance with the federal constitution. I do not want to violate, and will never violate the constitution," he continued.

Joseph began serving as President of Somalia on 14 October 2004, he replaced the position of Abdiqasim Salad Hassan who has led the people of Somalia from 27 August 2000 to 14 October 2004.
